666 NEWS
5/5/2008 Apologies for the laxness of the news updates. The album Scandal! is making big waves all over the UK and Europe. Tracks from the album are being broadcast on hundreds of radio stations and the band are playing numerous songs from the album live. There are loads of new photos of the band on the photos page taken at a recent show at the Chester Bells. These are definitely some of the best photos of the band ever taken so many thanks to Richard Payne for these great shots. 29/01/2000 At last the new Route 666 album, Scandal!, has officially hit the streets. It's already getting significant airplay around the country and further a field. A big thank you to Tim Charles at Radio Caroline you has been giving the album considerable airplay for the last few weeks. You can check his show out 'The Magic Carpet Ride' on radio Caroline here 04/01/2008 Happy New Year to everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas. The year is going to kick off in great style for the band with the release of their brand new album Scandal! The album is completed and is awaiting the artwork and pressing which should be done in next couple of weeks. In the meantime you can hear four tracks from the album on 666 MY SPACE There are some great new venues lined up for the new year and few old favourites so see the GIGS page for more information. The website will also be having a bit of a re-vamp over the next few weeks with new, up to date, photos and various other surprises
12/11/2007 Hi there! Just a quick note to tell you what's happening with your favourite rock and blues band. The band have finished the tracks for their forthcoming album. Mixing and mastering should be completed in the next few weeks. The artwork and pressing will follow shortly after that. What I'm getting to is that the album will be officially released in time for Christmas. Of course you will all buy it anyway but when you're stuck for Christmas presents for family members close and distant this year then the new album will be the ideal gift! Seriously, even if the webmaster does say so himself, this album is the dogs bollocks!!! By far and away the best written, played, produced and thought-provoking album of 2007 and 2008, 2009, 2010 etc...................... The 2008 gigs have been added to the gig section. See you soon!
07/10/2007 There is now a new section of the website - the links page. Here you will find various venues, businesses, festivals, bands etc associated with the band. More will be added very soon. 04/10/2007 The guys at Arid Music are now promoting and selling our albums. Many thanks to them. Follow this link for more info www.aridmusic.com/cd-store.html
11/09/2007 No! Never! not a news update. Hope you all had a great summer and managed to catch us in your part of the country. A busy time awaits the Sixes. Between gigs the band are busy rehearsing for their next album. The recording sessions are scheduled for mid October at AIR studios, Montserrat. OK, I'm lying. It's not Montserrat but the next best place near the dock road. The album will feature Noble and Evans compositions in it's entirety and if you catch us at gigs leading up to the sessions you will get a sneak preview of some of the new songs. The band are now taking bookings for 2008. Gigs and festivals are rolling in for next year. The band have been invited to appear at the Maryport Blues festival for the third time and are close to finalising shows in various countries in Europe. Unfortunately this Friday's gig at the Sun Inn, Llangollen has just been cancelled by the venue. Other bands beware!! 08/05/2007 The band are pleased to announce they will be appearing at the world famous Colne Blues festival this coming August. They have been invited to do 2 shows on Friday 24th August, see gig section for more details. For more information on the Colne Blues festival 2007 go to www.bluesfestival.co.uk/roadhouse Catch the band this coming Friday at the Snafu, Rotherham. www.fubar-snafu.com 12/3/2007 Thanks to everyone who made the tour of Cumbria a great success over the weekend. The Great North Air Ambulance charity bash on Friday at the Brickyard, Carlisle was a phenomenal success and congratulations are in order for Joe who pulled the whole event together in great style leading to a sell out show. Well done mate! Catch the band at the Chester Bells, Chester, this coming Friday and The Griffin on St. Patricks night were the show is to be recorded for a possible live album release. No pressure!.................................. 5/2/2007 Just to let you know you can now see Route 666 live in action in a new section of the website called 'The Route 666 Live Video Vault.' Click videos to access this. Many thanks to Leon who shot all these movies. More will be added in due course. 31/1/2007 Lord Simon Axemeister and Mad Jack McMad would like to announce Earl Grey to the band on the drum stool who has officially taken over from Wyatt Van Driver. Wyatt has taken a long sabbatical from the world of rock to embark on a career in property development. I think all concerned would like to thank Wyatt Van Driver for his time with the band and the contribution he gave on the drum stool. His stool has been a big one to fill but fortunately Earl Grey is more than equal to the task and compliments the two lovable front men perfectly. Earl Grey has actually been with the band throughout January but now he's actually purchased a new set of drums I thought we'd better mention he joined! You can read Earl Greys biography here and see his new kit on the gear page. Other changes have actually happened to the website, namely gear updates of Lord Simon Axemeister and loads of new gigs. Other changes will slowly evolve over the coming millenium. Wyatt Van Driver will gradually be eradicated from the photo page to be replaced by the delightful Earl Grey. Catch the band this coming Sunday at the Grey Horse, Kingston upon on Thames (that's London Folks!) and you will witness the debut of Earl Grey's brand new Gretsch kit.
14/1/2007 HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE! (Ah well, better late than never). Just to let everyone know that the venue for the Pirates gig on 10th February has changed from the Kite Club to The Tower Lounge, Bank Hey Street, Blackpool
20/12/2006 The reviews section has finally been updated! A big thank you to the Blues Hunters for doing a great review which can be found in this months edition of Blues Thang. Check out more new gigs in the gig section including dates in the London area and loads of other places! 20/11/2006 Due to 'circumstances beyond our control', the Navy Club gig on 10th December has been cancelled. Sorry to all those who were planning to go considering it's been extensively advertised. Despair not! oh faithful Sixes fans as an alternative venue has been secured for the same date at The Throstles Nest in Wigton. The band are delighted to be back at the Throstles again and have been promised a big turn out. Looking forward to 2007, I can confirm that dates have been confirmed in London. More details to follow.................
12/10/2006 Hi folks! It's been a busy month for the band with gigs all over the UK - Mansfield, Rotherham (M1, i.e. on the way to London!) and even further south to Weston Super Mare. There are more gigs over the UK for 2007 which you can find in the updated gig section. This weekend see's us back in Cumbria at the Mariners, Bowness-on-Windermere. See you there!
14/9/2006 Hugh Jaars, the renowned rock journalist, has written a new biography on the band which can be read, strangely enough, in the biography section. Please take the time to read it as this will offer a brief glimpse of the history of Route 666 so far. Thanks Hugh!
3/8/2006 Click here for new photos - yes that's right new photos - of the bands recent appearances at the Newton Music festival and Maryport Blues festival. Some of you will recognise G.P. Caine in the Maryport shots on drums. He is the man who provides the artwork for all of the Route 666 albums and most of the photography on the website. He is the real 4th '6' to which Lord Simon Axemeister, Mad Jack McMad and Wyatt Van Driver would like to thank for stepping in on the drum stool for Maryport and one or two other recent gigs. 3/8/2006 The new Route 666 album 'Money Murder Love' is now widely available for purchase. Includes 11 original self penned tracks from the songwriting partnership of Noble and Evans. Featuring 'Blow This Place Away', 'No Going Back', the heavily airplayed 'Stop Yer Startin' and the title track 'Money Murdered Love' plus seven other classic Route 666 tracks. Click here for more details.
31/7/2006 Another great weekend at the Maryport Blues Festival was had by all. Thanks to everyone who came to see us over the weekend. We know some of you travelled a long way especially to see us and it is very much appreciated.
16/7/2006 Yet another interview on Nick Dow's Blue Notes BBC Radio Lancashire. Lord Simon Axemeister was again interviewed by Nick Dow but this time the conversation centred around the bands new album 'Money Murder Love'
14/7/2006 Thanks to Billy Butler and posse at BBC's Radio Merseyside for playing 'Stop Yer Startin' from the new album 'Money, Murder, Love' and for giving the song such a good review. See you in Peterborough tomorrow night at Charters Blues on the boat.
13/7/2006 A big thank you to all those who came to see us on the 'Scotland and North Cumbria tour', especially those who came to see us all three nights. Thanks to everyone who purchased our new album ' Money, Murder, Love' over the weekend as well. We will be back very soon................ 6/7/2006 ***VENUE CHANGE*** This Sundays forthcoming gig at the Navy Club, Maryport has just been changed to the Labour club also in Maryport.
26/06/2006 A late addition to the gig guide folks. The band play The Barrow R'n'B club, The Duke of Edinburgh, Barrow-in-furness this coming Friday. See you there!
18/06/2006 The band are pleased to announce that they have again been invited to perform at this years Maryport blues festival for the second year running. The lads will be playing at least 3 venues over the Friday, Saturday and Sunday (28th - 30th July). Check out the gig section for venue details and times. The eagerly awaited new Route 666 album is now due for imminent release. The final touches to the artwork have been completed and the CD's are due for pressing his week. The album, entitled 'Money, Murder, Love' is the first Sixes album to feature all original material from the songwriting partnership of Noble and Evans. Insiders say this is, without doubt, the bands strongest album to date, blowing away the old adage of 'the difficult third album'. The band have been performing tracks from the album live and the album has already attracted the interest of several record and publishing companies. 11/04/2006
'Route 666 at The New Bergeracs, Bank
Street, Bolton- This new venue is dedicated to bringing quality 'live' music to
Bolton and needs your support, so please get down there on Friday 21st April. On
stage 10.30pm 6/4/2006 This Saturday's gig at the Rifle Corps, St. Helens has been pulled by the band. There have been numerous reports of the management's shoddy treatment of the live bands that play there. Sorry to disappoint those who had made plans to come and see us and been let down at this late stage but the band have only just received information that it would be a bad move for them to play there and have taken the decision to pull the gig. Other bands beware.........................................
27/3/2006 Hi. Just to let you all know if you log on to www.route666rock you can hear 4 of our songs in their entirety. One from 'Talk To The Hand' and three from 'Let It All Out'. 27/2/2006 A big thank you to all those who travelled far and wide to see the shows over the weekend in Cockermouth and Maryport. Especially to Joe, Steph and the rest of the gang who came to both shows. It's really great to know we have that support out there from people who appreciate what we are trying to do i.e. keeping music live and playing it with passion. We've nearly sold out of 'Let it all out' and 'Talk to the Hand'. Rather than get a re-run of these cd's, we're concentrating on getting the new album to you as soon as possible. Keep checking back to the website for details. However, the first two albums can be made available if you ask us really nicely! We have just been asked to headline the LiveWYRE Blues Dayz Festival at the Thornton Little Theatre, Thornton Clevelys, Nr. Blackpool. www.t-l-t.co.uk Nick Dow, presenter of BBC radio Lancashire's Blue Notes, is organising the three day festival which will run from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th with ourselves headlining on Saturday 19th August. More details to follow.
31/12/2005 Well another year over but a new one just beginning! It's been a year of mostly ups for the band and one or two downs most notably with the departure of Tyrone Shoelace. As ever the band forges on to bigger and better things. Wyatt Van Driver, ever the stand in from 2004/5 for Shoelace, finally joined full time. Many have said that this is by far the best incarnation of Route 666 since it's inception. There have been some great highlights in 2005 - the bands sensational debut at the Maryport Blues festival, The Newton Music festival, Lord Simon Axemeister's live interview with Nick Dow on Radio Lancashire's Blue Notes. Nick has given the band continued airplay throughout the year which has led to a lot of interest in the band, so a big thank you to you Nick from the band. Next year sees Route 666 move from strength to strength. There are a host of new venues around the country and the band are venturing across the border to Scotland. Axemeister and McMad are in the process of writing new material for a new album. This time around the new material will probably be gigged for a while before going into the recording studio. Sometimes you never fully realise how a song should really be played and sung until it's played live for a while (e.g. Mad Man On My Mind, Trying To Get Home). Oh yes, and there will be a live DVD at some point even if Axemeister and McMad have to film it themselves! Anyway, thanks to all the fans and the people/venues who have supported us throughout the year. We do appreciate it. To the people/venues who haven't supported us or let us down (you know who you are!) SCREW YOU! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2/11/2005 Hi there! Just to notify you about a few changes on the website. Firstly, all the confirmed gigs for next year are now up on the gig section. Also, there is a website link to each of the venues who have them and failing that a telephone number. See you all soon.............. 26/9/2005 Last night saw Lord Simon Axemeister in a live interview with Nick Dow on Radio Lancashire's Blue Notes. The 10 minute interview was precluded with 2 tracks ( well 1 and a half actually ) from Talk To The Hand; Manic Depression, however technical difficulties in the studio caused this track to be cut mid-way through, and the full version of Something I Need. The conversation flowed as Nick asked various questions ranging from influences, songwriting ideas to arrogant pub landlords! The interview ended with the title track off Talk To The Hand. Many thanks to Nick for the interview and hopefully we'll come in sometime for a live acoustic session of some of our blusier stuff! The band play the Queens Arms, New Mills this coming Friday and Cuban Knights, Macclesfield Saturday. See you all there! P.S. If anyone recorded the interview on Blue Notes ( I know that's illegal but hey that's rock'n'roll man!) could you let us have a copy as Axemeister's Mum would love to hear it! 11/9/2005 After a sensational Maryport blues festival ( the band will of course be returning next year ) there is to be a short tour of Cumbria next weekend. Friday 16th see's the band at The High Cross Inn, Broughton in Furness. Saturday night at the Mariners, Bowness on Windermere and Sunday afternoon (3 pm start), a new venue, the Throstles Nest in Wigton. Hope to see you all sometime over the weekend..........................
17/7/2005 Things are really hotting up for Sixes this summer and it's not just Axemeister's new tight leather pants and Mad Jack's big boots in the heat! The band reaches new heights and are playing two festivals a week apart. Firstly the Newton Music festival (www.thegriffin.info) on Saturday afternoon 23rd July. The following Friday and Saturday are 3 gigs at the internationally acclaimed Maryport Blues festival (www.maryportblues.com). Wyatt Van Driver is now just about doing every gig in the diary as his commitments to his previous band are fulfilled. However, Grahame Cain is stepping in for one last scheduled appearance at Maryport but I'm sure you haven't seen the last of him! Lord Simon Axemeister and Mad Jack McMad would like to take this opportunity to thank him for getting them out of the brown stuff on many occasions when the drumming stool was experiencing difficulties. And what an excellent job he did. Also, we would like to thank Grahame Cain for the photo sessions and design, most of which has appeared in the photo section and the homepage of this website. If anyone would like to contact Grahame regarding photography/graphic design you can do via this website and I'll be happy to pass on your details. Finally a big shout out to Darren Howells at Blue Matters for the great review of the 12 Bar gig in Preston. Reading through the review I wondered if he was actually present on the night because just about every 'fact' he stated was incorrect. He did seem to have a bit of a downer on us. Was it the Marshall stacks? (Blues bands are only allowed to have Fender Twin reverbs after all!) Was it the fact he was unable to distinguish between original material and covers? Was it the leather pants? I just don't know! Had he actually bothered to come and introduce himself to the band on the night these and many other 'facts' could have been confirmed. Any reviewer worth his salt would have at least said hello. But hey, the lads aren't bitter, as any publicity is good publicity (I Think?) Just make yourself known next time.
See you all in Maryport and Newton..........................................
27/2/2005 Two messages in one day. Wow! Just to say thanks to Nick Dow on Radio Lancashire's Blue Notes for playing Real Men Play Guitar (Let It All Out album) tonight, in it's entirety! Hopefully we'll be on the show for a live session real soon.
27/2/2005
It is with regret that Route 666 announce
the end of the bands long and successful relationship with The Hanover Hotel,
Liverpool.
Due to a change in senior management at
the venue, the musical emphasis appears to have shifted somewhat away from
original rock/blues material, with a move toward more mainstream pop/rock
music. It is unclear whether the venue will hold onto it's core blues/rock
audience, built up over several years by quality acts like Route 666.
The band are now actively seeking an
alternative city centre venue for their hometown audience, with several offers
already on the table.
On behalf of the band, may we wish best of
luck to Mike and the rest of the bar staff, and thank them for their support
over the years.
17/2/2005 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Announcing the departure of
Tyrone Shoelace from 'Route 666'.
20/1/2005 Hi everyone! Just a quick one to say the band are playing the Fox and Goose, Southport, this coming Saturday. This is a last minute addition to the gig listing due to another band having to pull out. 31/12/2004 Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Thanks for your support throughout the year and all of us in the band would like to wish everyone great tidings of joy for the new year! If anyone is around the Birkenhead area New Years Day night, we are playing The Swinging Arm after Trailer Trash were forced to pull out at the last minute. Try and come along. 21/11/2004 The double header with Trailer Trash was a resounding success. Thanks to everyone who turned up to give their support to make one hell of a night of rock and blues. Another night will be held early next year so if you couldn't make this one be sure to make the next! The first three months of gigs are up in the gigs section with more to follow. There are plenty of new venues for the band in such places as Hull, Maryport and Langollen as well as the established venues.
9/11/2004 Friday 19th November sees a night of rock and blues at The Vines (The Big House) in Liverpool. The band are to play a double header with Trailer Trash. It's £2 on the door in the big function room. Doors open 8pm and there is a late bar. So cancel everything and come along for what promises to be night of music to remember.......................... Check out the new merchandise page were you can purchase your own bit of Route 666 in the form of CD's and T-Shirts
13/9/2004 The new Route 666 album has been exceeding all expectations. 'Talk To The Hand' is selling at a blistering rate and has been described by many in the music field as the bands finest album to date. Have your say about the album by e-mailing us at route666rock@hotmail.com with your critique. The band are to play Hotel California on Thurdsay 23rd September as plugged this evening on BBC radio Lancashire by Eric Harvey on the Lancashire Blue Notes show hosted by Nick Dow. Eric, of Soundwave Promotions and promoter of the Honky Tonk Cafe blues nights at Hotel California , got the name of the band slightly wrong but between him and Nick managed to get it right in the end! Another event for your diaries over the coming months is a self-promoted show at a well known Liverpool venue. Negotiations are in the final stages and the event will be ticket only or pay on the door. As well as Route 666, the bill will be shared with the up and coming Trailer Trash (www.trailer.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk). It's going to be a great night of rock and blues so don't miss it! More details to follow about the show......... 11/8/2004 'Talk To The Hand' is now at the pressing plant and official release is 21st August at the Hanover Hotel, Liverpool. Alternatively you can order your advanced copy now!!!! E-mail at route666rock@hotmail.com The band have just returned from a very successful tour of the north east taking in Newcastle, North and South Shields and will be back there soon. Tyrone Shoelace is back behind the kit - not that you'd have noticed as his kit has sprouted more cymbals and drums since last time he played so much so that he is not actually visible to the audience (not all bad news then!) Other news is that the band are currently in negotiations for European gigs namely in Holland, Germany and Luxembourg. Look out America.....................
05/07/2004
Route 666 are pleased to announce the imminent return of regular drummer, Tyrone
Shoelace. For those of you who have been following his progress since his
unfortunate accident during an act of self-abuse in January, he now appears well
enough to commence gigging again, and will be in the drum seat for forthcoming
gigs in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The new Route 666 album is ready for imminent release. Entitled 'Talk To The Hand' the album will be available towards the end of July with advance orders exceeding 10, 000! this is the most eagerly awaited album since the last one. If you are near Derbyshire
on 17th July Route 666 are headlining the annual Hogtock
festival. On stage about 11pm. See you there...... 19/04/2004 The lads are playing a hometown gig this coming Saturday at The Hanover Hotel, Liverpool. The gig is set to be a sell out as the second favourite sons of Liverpool hit home again. Tyrone Shoelace is still out of action and into the fold steps Wyatt Van Driver. He'll play with anyone, anywhere but is now playing with the 666's for the 'Forseeable future'. McMad and Axemeister are happy to have him on board and hopefully will see an end to the recent 'Guns for hire' set up. Check out his biography and photo here and then come and take the p*ss out of him at the gigs! The new album is now in the final mixing stages. The mixing is now in the capable hands of 1-eye, Axemeister and McMad after having to take legal proceedings to secure the master tapes from ruthless record company bosses....... 30/3/2004 Yes we're still alive! However this can't be said for Tyrone's hand which has been out of action since Christmas. E-mails, cards, flowers and well wishes from the rock fraternity have not been flooding in. Mick Allen from Deaf Leotard was first to offer support and help by trying to sell Shoelace the arm that doctors didn't manage to sew back on. 'It's been in the salad draw of me fridge for the last 20 years. It's a bit green like but that should come off with a grater' said the one-armed soft rock drummer. McMad and Axemeister have continued to rock on with a series of top session drummers, and in such difficult circumstances have managed to record, what is arguably, there best CD yet. A fine collection of songs with half Axemeister and McMad originals and carefully selected covers with the 666's own inevitable stamp. The recording sessions took place in an undisclosed studio near the Welsh valleys. 1-eye was again in the producers seat and kept a tight reign on proceedings. The CD is in it's final mixing stages and should be due for a mid to late April release. The drum stool was taken by one of the session drummers used for some of the live gigs, Dan The Man from Liverpool/Manchester band The Maker and what a fantastic job he did, as you'll hear for yourselves, after just two rehearsals! I'll keep you posted with details on the new CD. In the meantime catch us this Saturday at The Duke in Barrow-in-Furness and also a home town gig in The Hanover Hotel, Liverpool in April. Check out the gigs and we'll see you in your town...........
4/1/2004 Happy New Year to everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas. Check out the gigs for 2004 and see if we are playing near you. If we're not playing near you, come and see us anyway! There are plenty of new venues in the diary for next year as well as some old favourites. Negotiations are currently in process for new venues both national and international so keep checking the gigs as they are constantly being updated. 2004 is going to be a busy but enjoyable year for the band what with recording sessions starting in February for the new album and a live video/DVD is also in the offing. Will keep you posted with further details. Thanks for your continued support last year and hope to see you very soon in 2004 Keep on Rockin'...........................................
8/12/2003 How's everyone doing? Hope you've managed to catch the band live recently. Shoelaces drum kit has sprouted baby toms, Axemeister has a custom made Strat and McMad's got some new jokes! Sorry to fans who wanted to catch us at the Moses Gate and The Railway. Unfortunately, Tyrone Shoelace injured his arm whilst rattling off a mix over his new toms and the gigs had to be pulled! Our last album 'Let It All Out' is up for voting on www.filetopialive.com International rock presenter, Micky Spectrum, has listed it for voting on his site where tracks from the album are regularly in his top 40. Can I urge you all to visit the site and cast your vote for the album All the songs for the new album have been written in preparation for recording, scheduled to start late January early February and the studio facilities have been hand-picked by the band. Gigs for 2004 are up on the website and can be found here. See you all very soon.............................. 14/10/2003 Hello and apologies for no updates for ages but hey at least we've still got the same drummer! The band have been really busy over the summer with gigs throughout the UK and Europe. Loads of new venues are in the pipeline for 2004 such as Newcastle, Leicester, Maryport, Broughton-in-Furness and many, many more. Axemeister and McMad have begun writing songs for what will be the bands second album. The as yet untitled album will feature at least 80% of original material and recording is scheduled to start January 2004. The new material is being kept well under wraps but I can tell you the album will range from all out rock onslaught to near ballads ( No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Producer 1-eye has already been signed up for the project. Fans are invited to suggest titles for the new album. All suggestions will be considered and the sender of winning title will win a signed copy of the new album, a signed T-shirt and any other bits of crap we can find lying round. New features coming soon on the website are a links page to various venues and fellow bands and also a band forum and chat room. Oh yes, and some new photos, honest.
9/6/2003 Hi everyone. The Midlands had a taste of the 666's this weekend as the band rolled into Wolverhampton on their way to world domination!!!!!!!!!!!!! The night got off to a great start as Mad Jack announced "we're from the European Capital of culture!" Then we learned the true meaning of Brummie hospitality! Seriously, the band had great time and everyone was really friendly. We have just taken delivery of the new Route 666 t-shirts which can be purchased at gigs or by mail. More info to follow on the Merchandise page.
19/5/2003 The band would just like to thank everyone who came to the Hanover gig for making it a great night. It's you lot out there who make all the difference and why we do it. Thank you to all those people who purchased CD's from us on the night - we ran out! The people who didn't get their copies we will send out to as soon as 1-eye finds the keys to recording studio. Please e-mail us with your thoughts on the CD whether positive, negative, technical - like 'how did Axemeister get that awesome guitar sound on Trying To Get Home' for example or 'what shirt was Mad Jack wearing when he recorded the bassline for Let It All Out' we will be more than happy to answer these and many other questions at length! See you soon ............... 12/5/2003 After a storming weekend of gigs in Wrexham and Irlam, the band are to play their hometown of Liverpool (although with Mad Jack that's taking a bit of poetic license!). You can catch the band at the Hanover Hotel, Liverpool this coming Saturday. The show is a guaranteed sell out as it's their hometown. Other forthcoming attractions are the Moses Gate, Bolton; the Sun Inn Llangollen and the Running Horse, Nottingham, to name but a few. And, yes, new photographs are coming soon, honest!
11/2/2003 Hello!! Sorry it's been a while since the last update. If you've been checking the gig listings you will have noticed that the band have been busy filling the diary with top rock venues for 2003, hopefully somewhere near you. There's a lot of new venues in for this year with no gig to far away for the lads. In other news, the band have taken on another sound engineer to assist 1-eye (because he's getting on a bit!). The new boy will be on the desk at the Duke Of Edinburgh 22nd February. Bad news for the girl fans (or boy fans), Lord Simon Axemeister is now engaged to the soon-to-be Mrs Axemeister. Axemeister made the proposal at his undisclosed spiritual retreat in the north countries. Help-lines will be made available for disillusioned fans about to top themselves. Mad Jack and Tyrone Shoelace have agreed to man the phones from midnight. - New photo's to follow soon!
30/12/2002 Hope everyone had a great Christmas and got everything they asked for off Santa. Much to Mad Jack's and Tyrone's relief, Axemeister got a new shirt which is now available for viewings in 2003. Confirmed gigs for next year have now been posted with a lot more to be confirmed. 'Let It All Out' is selling like wild fire and reaction to the CD has been overwhelming. Route 666 would like to thank everyone for their support throughout 2002 and wish you all the best for 2003. 16/12/2002 The photo section has been updated.
